OVERVIEW
Master in Technical and Vocational (Research) is designed to be in line with the vision and mission of the University. This program aims to produce skilled educators/trainers, who are able to confront challenges faced during their experiences in teaching, managing and supervising students, by familiarising them with relevant, appropriate and significant research-based knowledge in different areas of education. Through this program, graduates are expected to become part of the educator in TVET and skilled worker which is capable in driving the growth of the country accordance with the government aspirations. This will be done with the course emphasizing new technologies, which also include theoretical and practical skills. In addition, this program will also expose students to a variety of activities that can increase the generic skills and personality.

PEO 4 | To generate and disseminate knowledge effectively and be responsible for cultivating lifelong learning and entrepreneurship. |
PEO 5 | To lead and participate in the development of knowledge and in fighting for intellectual property rights and appreciation of the original work of others, maintaining plagiarism and academic misconduct in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) |
PEO 6 | To conduct ethics and integrity and fights for intellectual property, copy right and free from plagiarism. |

PLO 4 | Demonstrate the ability to lead and work cooperatively in groups to build new knowledge in the research field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). |
PLO 5 | Communicate effectively through verbal speech, discussion and scientific writing. |
PLO 6 | Analyze and plan with colleagues based on educational and training needs by utilizing ICT knowledge and skills in the TVET management process and cultivate lifelong learning for self-development. |

1. Foundation of Research Method
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
MASTER'S DEGREE BY RESEARCH
- A bachelor's degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by UTHM Senate; or
- A bachelor's degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or
- A bachelor's degree in the field or related fields, or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment. (Download working experience portfolio)
- Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by UTHM and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii) (Rigorous Assessment)

This requirement is subjected to students registered in Semester 1 academic session 2021/2022 onwards - Applicants who graduated with academic qualifications from Higher Learning Institutions in Malaysia recognized by the Senate are eligible to apply for exemption from the English Language Proficiency requirements.
- Applicants who graduated with academic qualifications from Higher Learning Institutions from foreign countries listed as English Speaking Countries are eligible to apply for exemption from the English Language Proficiency requirements.
